Google Corporate Email Services
Google announced (could have been announced along time ago I just caught wind of it today) that they are planning on beefing up their corporate email services. Point, period, blank, Google Apps, focusing on Gmail and their Google Calendar application are incredible products. I think they look great and work well I especially like how they have incorporated Google Calendar links from their Google Finance pages making it easier to add company stock calendar items to your schedule. If I have confused you they have basically made it easier to add your favorite companies investor events to your Google Calendar (BTW RIMM Oct 4th). My question to you is, if you’re a small business owner would you use these services? I asked a couple of my close friends and I’m hearing different answers. It’s a clear fact that the products are great but some fear that Google will have easy access to your information, interesting, here’s a what if. What if you’re a small but successful companying like Feed Burner and Feed Burner happens to be an Google apps user, and are rabid fans of Gmail and Google Calendar. Now suppose this small but successful company is in a position to be bought out and in fact are in communications with a big software company like Microsoft, do you think Google would not take a peek at Feed Burners corporate email to gain a competitive edge, I mean not just a little tiny peak, I don’t know, It’s just a thought? I know its sounds far fetched and unethical, but on a similar note to long ago the New England Patriots found themselves in what you would call a far fetched and unethical fiasco.
Big Day for RIMM tomorrow, I bought in at $95.50, wish me luck. But to be honest even if their earnings fall short tomorrow I will probably keep this one, Solid company with a great product.
IPhone, Tool Tip Tuesday Vol #3, and Heroes
Well you guys I had to put the Treo to rest. The early part of last week I sold my shares of JCP and use some of the money to buy an Apple IPhone (my first Apple product), I bought it this past weekend and so far it’s incredible. If you’ve read some of my previous posts then you already know that I have been a big fan of the Treo 650. I thought the Treo 650 was the best thing since sliced bread. I have had several freelance projects in the past where I needed to send invoices, VNC into my server, or even use it as a modem. The Treo 650 was good to me, but it doesn’t have crap on the browsing capabilities that the IPhone can deliver. Seriously, this in combination with WIFI is ridiculous; if you’re an owner then you know what I’m talking about, if your not then at least think about getting a mobile phone that supports WIFI (F.Y.I. RIMM closed $96.82, AAPL $153.18)
Tool Tip Tuesday Vol #3 I’m so glad to be doing this again, it has been a second since the last Tool Tips Tuesday. Some of these are a given, but I thought it would be still helpful if I listed them also.
- ColorZilla – There’s times when I visit a web site and wonder dang what’s the Hexadecimal (color) code. Bottom line ColorZilla helps get the job down.
- MeasureIT – Basically this tool goes hand and hand with ColorZilla. There’s times when I need to get the width and height of an image, movie, or whatever, this tool gets the job down faster. I use to take screen shots then port them into a Paint Shop Pro, then use the crop tool to get the dimension. I jumped through a couple of hoops to get what I needed.
- Adsense Notifier – This is pretty much self-explanatory. Honestly who’s running FireFox and Goggle Adsense and not running this plug-in? Basically I like to keep an eye on my money.
- Google Notebook – I’m just starting to use this application. But between the office and home I see/think of things that I would like to remember and with Google NoteBook I’m able to take a quick note.
- Stumble Upon – Seriously do we need to talk about Stumble upon, basically if you’re not on it, you need to be!
- Heroes, Ok I use to hear a lot about Heroes at work around the water cooler but I never sat down to watch it, I guess I was to busy at the time. But now since I have basically seen everything on/in Netfix I decided to put the first season in my queue. I watched the first 3 shows and was totally hooked. But now the new season has started and I’m hella lost….LOL. I’m probably going to have to bust out a Heroes marathon one of these weekends
Kanye West, The Market, FeedPepper
Where should one start when there is so much going on? Well let’s jump right into it. For the last couple of weeks I have been working on a Blog Search Engine. FeedPepper.com well FeedPepper is what I’m calling it, no specific reason behind the name.

Some may ask “Why build another Blog Engine when there’s so many others on the net already”.
Three Reason.
1.) For the challenge
2). Because I believe bloggers are the pulse to what’s going on in the world today. Think about it some bloggers report what they see or experience, celebrity sighting or affiliate marketing successes/failures some post how-tos or review, and some post junk.
I read about 10 to 15 blogs a day, and I love it, can’t get enough. I love reading about what’s new, and who’s who and what they are doing. Basically if it wasn’t for Blogs/RSS Feeds I would be totally lost. The only time I actually pick up a news paper is to see what’s on sale at Best Buy. Maybe that’s sad..IDK
3. But bottom line Why not? Can’t see how it would hurt anything.
It’s about time to make the site public. There’s still a bunch of tweaks that need to be made so you may see rankings change from time to time, I’m trying to implement the fastest and most efficient queries as possible to make this thing rock solid. As the database grows this poses as the biggest challenge. Also my graphic designs skills suck so if you have a better idea for a logo or a creative side please hit me up I would love to see some samples and prices. Once all the bugs have been worked out and the code is pretty sturdy I will start focusing on a webmaster section, which would include api’s, widgets and etc. I’m sure it won’t be this month though.
Anyhow please give it a spin by adding the ping address to your word press blog (http://pingme.feedpepper.com/ping.php). What’s the worst that could happen?
Congratulation Kanye,
Damit O.J., come on man
P.S. Test Question, can you tell what time the feds announce the rate cuts…run Apple, run!
