Top Five Hated Buzz Words

The top five buzz words I wish could be removed from management’s vocabulary.

1. Awesome – what is really meant, “Thanks I don’t know how I could have pulled it off without your help”.

2. Touch Bases - what is really meant “Notify me if any changes occur so that I can showboat in front of upper management and take credit for the work done”.

3. Deep Dive - what is really meant “Lets meet 5 minutes before the presentation is due so that I can nod my head as if I participated.

4. Circle Back - what is really meant “I will come back to check your progress as the due date approaches”.

5. Leverage – and what is really meant “Who else can we include in the project, because I don’t possess the skill set needed to help you out
