Palm’s new gadget the Foleo
Palm really pissed me off this time with the Foleo, or better yet foolieo.
WTF, when part of your presentation involves telling people how the on and off button operates, then you know you done f’d up.
I admit I’m not the sharpest knife in the draw but in a world where everything is going compact and devices are combining (Apples IPhone, IPod & Cell Phone combo). Is Palm telling me they created a another piece of hardware to carry around?
Mr. Hawkins, I just don’t get it. What the hell?

I’ll tell you what Palm, you need some ideas, wanna know what the people want.
Ok here it go. UPDATE the Treo’s GUI! You have some hardcore Treo users, but you’re going to loose them because you’re slow on change. I thought when you guys hired that X Apple designer that it was going to be on then, what the hell. The reason people are so goo, goo about the IPhone is because of the graphics/interface. The phone is sexy…period.
Another idea, this maybe kind of extreme, and who knows maybe theres a hack somewhere already out there. But focus on television. Media is being pushed back to the user’s television. Lately I have been reading a bunch of hacks about viewing online content on television.
The Apple and YouTube deal is a perfect example. Figure out a way to push video to a user’s television.
IDK, but you need to join the rest of the team outside the box.
I’m a Palm shareholder. I’m trying to keep the faith but dang.

I am with you, it doesn’t look like a product to get very excited about? and although that was just a youTube rant-like spot, it didn’t give me a reason to want to “want” it, the presentation was poor at best (on/off switch?!?). Well don’t sell your stock yet, maybe they are hiding the next upgrade to the treo somewhere in R&D?
