April Fools Day - Got me again
April 1st, April fools days. The funniest thing about April fools days is actually the forgetting what day it is, wait I’ll explain in a second. Every year a couple of sites take part in the fun and pull a gag or two on its users, some pranks are small some are big. But each year I forget what today is and run across one of these site and spazz the hell out. This year it was Google.com and Shoemoney.com. Google’s TiSp BETA didn’t really fool me but it was quite funny I thought, the Yellow rubber gloves were killer. Shoemoney’s redirect to http://www.shoemoney.com/f.html with a footer link to http://www.thehansofoundation.org/ totally got me. Because when you hit the back button to his home page the correct homepage would reappears to make you think WTF, did I really see what I thought I saw? Congratulation guys you got me good.
Quick Site note, I’ve been screwing with Yahoo API again, and created a small mobile site to looked up restaurants listings and etc in my parents home town (auburn online mobile). The script lets you make calls from the listings and save the listings contact information to your device. (If you don’t own some type of PDA/smart phone good chance this site wont work for you)
If you want the code to modify it to work for your own home town let me know, I’ll zip it and send it over.
