Affiliate Marketing Update. #1
Well I settled on a domain name “Realraptones.com”, yeh I know it’s pretty cheesy.
But now days finding a domain name that is not currently registered, and speaks towards the site you’re trying to create takes a great bit of work.
I created a landing page last night nothing snazzy, my web design skills are not that great. I found an image on istockphoto.com that really fit the domain name.
For affiliate ads I signed up for an azoogleads.com account, I heard great things about them and after playing around with their there interface I felt confident in my choice.
The main part of this experiment will be with Google Adwords. I need to spend as much time as possible reading up on their tutorials. It will be nice to walk away with some kind of money.
I have been thinking more about the actual launch date. I may need to push it back to the March 14th-16th. I scheduled my vacation during those dates. I thought it would be hard to concentrate at work knowing my campaign was running. I could be overly paranoid but I want to make sure I well aware of what’s going on during this experiment.
Well stay tune for the next update. And if anyone has some advice please feel free.

Hi Cas,
Sorry for the slow response I’ve been on vacation these past couple of days.
My affiliate marketing test, man to be honest I dropped the ball on this one. If I can remember I think I just broke even (barely I believe). The ringtone market didn’t work much for me, but again it was my first time and I learned a lot from it. I plan to give it another run but with another niche.
Are ringtones working for you?
nice to meet another blogger for the ATL
But seriously I learn a lot from you’re site…keep up the good work.

How has this site been doing for you since March? I’m addicted to the ringtone game. It’s kind of like a love hate relationship.
